I Always Look Pretty In Art...

Mr. Sands says I've skipped too much. Silly teacher! I've been extending my experience in creativity!
...
ANYWAY!

We did a couple things in art class that I haven't posted about. Probably some of the most fun we've had in here. We've done ceramics, pastels and photoshop work. Not gonna lie, I hated photoshop. Me and technology do NOT mix. But the other two were fun. Here's what I did!

And now for my ceramics!

Photoshop. Ew.

BAM!

I hope you read the title right. It's not just a simple "bam." It's a BAAAAHM!!

Anywho, three new projects in art one. Throughout the entire process all I could think of was that I deserved to be in art negative one. This was a work of NONSENSE. But it was fun regardless.

6:00 AM Post

Kay so I've been busy. Skittle projects, geometry, guitar classes, musical rehearsal, etc. ANYWAY.
So today our 3 things sketch is due (we should be at 9 drawings) and I will admit I did them all last minute last night and they look like a disaster. Due to a limited time this morning, I will be posting them sometime in the future. I'm pretty ashamed of them, not gonna lie.

On the other hand! Mr. Sands assigned a word of the week project. So we go online to this art website and there will be a word that would represent the rest of the week. Our job as artists is to illustrate what that word means to us. It can be a witty interpretation or something dark or meaningful. This weeks word was
Popularity
My first initial thought was, "I'm so not drawing one person surrounded by a couple dozen. That's insane." Then I thought about being witty. So I wanted to draw someone looking into a mirror whilst there's a mirror behind them and their reflection shows a bunch of times. Then I thought, "Ha, that's too tedious for my liking." Now I was stuck in a pickle because I had waited 'til the last minute and now I had no ideas.

So in desperate need for inspiration, I texted when of my good friends, who's a little too advanced for his years, what he thought of when he heard the word, popularity. He replied with

"When I see the word popular, I see classy, I see lights. I see humble beauty." -David M. Flowers

And thus, Elaine Stacy was born.

Being Alone Is Better Than Being With the Wrong Person

Kind of angry, not going to lie. So of course I referred to drawing something to make myself feel better. Made a twitter though.. Awkward. Go follow me!

@giselleherz

Go, go, go! Anyway, a drawing of my new flowers should be up by tonight. I have nothing better to do than school anyway. Time to become at peace with myself? I think yes.

I really want to draw this picture:
Well, just the dress anyway...

Procrastination

Totally didn't feel like posting anything yesterday and just remembered about an hour ago to draw more flowers. What the class was supposed to do about a week or two ago was to draw three of the same objects.
Examples: Birds, jewelry , clothing, flowers, etc.
So if you chose to draw birds as a general statement, you would draw three different birds like an owl, robin and an eagle. But if you chose a more specific thing such as lipstick, you have to stick to just that. Lipstick. You can't be more broad and do stuff like make-up as a whole.

Thankfully, I chose flowers as a general statement. The first three flowers I drew up were a tulip, an orchid and an iris. Besides the tulip [I didn't try all that hard on it], the flowers came out great. Little did I know, however, that now we had to draw 49 more of them.

So yeah, 50 flowers until the end of the year. Not that difficult of a concept. I mean, it's like 3 a week. But that also means I'll be drawing 50 different flowers. And some flowers are pretty intricate! At least we can have fun with it. Now I can draw a blooming flower, dead flower, colored flower, shaded flower, the same flower from a different point of view, an abstract flower, an eaten flower, a bouquet of flowers, etc. Surprisingly, I'm really looking forward to this.

AND, I've decided that at the end I'll put all the flowers together and give them to David Flowers as a birthday present next year. Hooray for cheap gifts!
